Repertoire
Our current reportoire is described here.
• Star Cross'd
This is a full company work with a "Romeo and Juliet" theme, it uses circus silks to suspend the dancers.
• Tsu-Ku-Tsu
This is an abstract piece that is performed with Japanese Taiko drumming.
• Femme Noir
This is a solo based on the femmes fatales of the 30's and 40's. It is set to a piano score by Paul Sullivan.
• Ben's Admonition
This work is a duet for two men in confinement, which opens with the men suspended by their ankles in a tight cell. It is about the tension and dynamic relationship that develops out of their unchosen proximity.
• Devil Got My Woman
This work is about a man who falls in love with a female predator. It's a morality tale about how you can never predict the outcome of a relationship. Inspired by the broken-hearted ballads of old blues singers including "Devil Got My Woman" by Skip James, it is danced to a bluesy score.
